Syed Saadat (Sid) Hussain is a Partner and Chief Financial Officer at Teakwood Business Partners, where he leads financial strategy, capital allocation, and portfolio oversight. With over 13 years of experience in private equity, financial management, and corporate finance, Sid plays a key role in optimizing financial performance across Teakwood’s investments. As CFO, Sid is responsible for financial reporting, risk management, treasury operations, and banking relationships. In his role as Partner, he is actively involved in deal structuring, due diligence, and operational improvements across Teakwood’s portfolio companies.
Prior to Teakwood, Sid held senior financial leadership roles at ZT Corporate, a Houston-based private equity firm focused on healthcare and automotive investments, serving as Chief Financial Officer, Accounting Controller, and Director of Family Office. Earlier, he managed global finance and accounting operations at Arthur Lawrence, a global consulting firm. In addition to his role at Teakwood, Sid is a Partner at Astraeus Global, where he oversees investment strategy and financial operations for the hedge fund.
Sid is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). Beyond his professional endeavors, Sid is a devoted family man who enjoys traveling and exploring diverse cultures.
Christopher is the General Counsel of Teakwood Business Partners, overseeing legal strategy, regulatory compliance, and risk management. With experience in private equity, investment management, and M&A, he provides strategic legal oversight across Teakwood’s operations and investments. Before joining Teakwood, Chris held M&A and private equity attorney roles at Latham & Watkins LLP, Chamberlain Hrdlicka White Williams & Aughtry PC, and Tailwinds Business Law, PLLC, where he advised on high-stakes transactions and corporate structuring.
He has worked as a Ultra-High Net Worth Portfolio Advisor at Merrill Lynch, specializing in complex domestic and international tax, trust, and estate planning strategies. In addition to his role at Teakwood, Chris is a Partner and General Counsel at Astraeus Global, responsible for the fund’s compliance and regulatory framework while supporting general business operations and investor relations.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Business from the University of Alabama, a Postgraduate Diploma in Translation (Spanish and Russian) from the University of Edinburgh (UK), and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Miami School of Law. Chris is an active member of the Texas State Bar. Beyond his professional endeavors, Chris has a passion for travel and developing tech solutions that enhance efficiency in global mobility.
Shah leads investment strategy, deal sourcing and strategic partnerships at Teakwood. With over 20 years of experience in private equity, M&A, and business operations, Shah has a proven track record of driving growth and creating liquidity events. Before Teakwood, Shah served as Chief Investment Officer at ZT Corporate, a Houston-based private equity firm specializing in healthcare and automotive investments. Over his tenure, he held multiple leadership roles, including Group Chief Operating Officer and Operating Partner, where he played a key role in unlocking portfolio value and delivering investor return.
Earlier in his career, he led the cloud solutions practice at Arthur Lawrence, a global consulting firm. In addition to his role at Teakwood, Shah is a Partner at Astraeus Global, overseeing business operations, investor relations, and fundraising for the hedge fund.
He holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Strategy from Saïd Business School, University of Oxford. Shah is also deeply committed to philanthropy, with a strong focus on mental health initiatives, supporting efforts to improve access to care and awareness.
